This manipulative math-driven mini-book story includes high-frequency words and controlled vocabulary, and allows children to practice sequencing and fine motor skills. It also reinforces standards-based math and literacy skills as children read the text and glue patterns onto the corresponding pages to demonstrate comprehension! Includes easy step-by-step directions!
Teaching Tip:
Whom would children share a bag of 10 jellybeans with and how many would they share with that person? After children respond, have them draw a picture of themselves sharing their jellybeans. Help them write “I like to share jellybeans with _______” on their page, filling in the person’s name at the end of the sentence. Also, have children write a subtraction number sentence to go with their picture. Finally, bind the pictures into a class book titled, “Jellybeans Are Fun to Share!”
