Help all students write a successful report about a current event with this age-perfect nonfiction fill-in frame! Kids simply research their topic, read the prompts, and then complete the reproducible frame for a ready-to-share structured report!
Gather resources. Bring in a local newspaper. Use student newspapers, children’s magazines, or the Internet. Discuss topics of interest and share some articles. Be sure children can identify who, what, where, when, and why. Point out that they can underline or highlight key points. Children can verbally share or create a list of these key points. Be sure to discuss validity, especially when using the Internet.
