Product Description:
Students celebrate Earth Day by creating posters with slogans and researching facts about saving our planet. Then, on Earth Day, they can march around the school and make passersby aware of the importance of working for a cleaner world. They can also take sidewalk chalk and write planet-saving facts for others to read!
This project can be done as individual or group work. The objectives are to interrelate material from langueg arts, science, math, and reading; to write headlines and sentences to call attention to important concepts; to us physical activity to help make learning memorable!
Teaching Tip:
Young Leader—Research ways in which your home, neighborhood, or town could be “greener.” Write a persuasive letter (to a parent or politician) to share your ideas!
