Product Description:
Kids will love drawing this 6-step sunflower picture—independently! This reproducible lesson helps kids build fine motor skills, learn shapes, and practice following directions. Includes writing prompts and creative extension activities.
Teaching Tip:
If children have never seen a sunflower, they might not realize how tall these flowers are. Some grow to be 20 feet tall, but the average height is about 6 feet. On a 6-foot-long sheet of craft paper, draw a sunflower in pencil and invite children to color it with paint or crayons. Display the drawing on a wall. Use a tape measure to mark off the measurement by feet and halk feet so that children can roughly compare their heights to that of the sunflower. For a more accurate comparison, hang a tape measure beside the sunflower drawing!
